Meet Dr. Dana Metzger

Dr. Dana Metzger graduated with honors in 2014 from Life University in Atlanta, GA, where she earned her Doctorate of Chiropractic degree. She completed her undergraduate studies at Towson University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology
Dr. Dana has received extensive advanced training in the care of infants, children, and pre-natal and postpartum people through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). Dr. Dana has been certified in the Webster’s Technique since 2014 and in 2015 she completed the ICPA’s 200-hour certification course and became Certified by the Academy Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics (CACCP). The Webster’s Technique is a sacral analysis and adjustment technique along with gentle soft tissue work that is specific to the pregnant person. The goal of the Webster’s Technique is to reduce the effects of sacral subluxation/ SI joint dysfunction to improve the neuro-biomechanical function of the pelvis. This technique first gained fame for helping with breech babies and has a 92% success rate in the baby getting into the normal head down position.
Dr. Dana is also a runner and triathlete who loves to help other athletes reach peak performance levels while staying healthy and avoiding injury. She has competed in the Atlanta Publix Marathon, Philadelphia Half Marathon, Augusta 70.3 Ironman Triathlon, and numerous other runs and triathlons over the years including the Broad Street Run for the past 10+ years.
In addition to managing her Chiropractic clinical practice, Dr. Dana is an established speaker, and presents wellness concepts through various networks, businesses, churches, and health and wellness events. Her goal is to educate our community about health topics so that residents develop a true understanding of how to live a happy and healthy life. She has also been published in the Journal of Pediatric, Maternal & Family Health on the topic of infertility: “Resolution of Infertility of a Patient with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, Hypothyroidism, and Ulcerative Colitis Following Subluxation-Based Chiropractic Care: A Case Report and Selective Review of the Literature”.
Dr. Dana is passionate about serving families throughout the Philadelphia area. She and her husband, Chad, have been married since 2016 and they have two children together, Mia & Bennett. Both of Dr. Dana’s children were born at home and attended by a home birth midwife. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family and friends as well as their dog, Gunner.
